Graduating in 2009, Melissa initially started her career in Country Victoria, which involved small and large animal practice but before long the warm sun had drawn her back to practice on the Gold Coast.

We were lucky enough to get our paws on her in 2013 and she has been a fantastic part of our team ever since. You can find her at The Pines on Mondays and Tuesdays. With a special interest in small animal medicine and diagnostic imaging/ultrasound, Dr Melissa enjoys her downtime with her husband and their beautiful little boy.




Dr. Karissa graduated from The University of Queensland with honors in 2014. Prior to this Karissa completed a Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Economics. She worked as an accountant for a short period of time before being accepted into Vet Science and fulfilling her childhood dream of becoming a Vet. After graduating she worked in a mixed practice in southern New South Wales and then transitioned to small animal only practice. She has a special interest in small animal dentistry, surgery and loves building relationships with all her clients and patients!



Cassidy completed her Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing in 2014. Since then she has worked in a number of Veterinary Hospitals, both general and specialist, to gain experience and knowledge in her industry. She believes in providing gold standard care, and ensuring both clients and pets feel comfortable and welcome when they walk through our doors. She has a passion for animals (especially cats) and has loved every minute since joining The Pines Vet. She has 3 pets of her own, a very large cat “Snow”, a shar pei “Zephyr”, and python “Terrance”.


Brooke graduated in 2016 from the University of Queensland with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology. She thoroughly enjoys working with all types of animals and learning as much as she can from each of them. She takes pride in delivering quality, compassionate care to all pets in their time of need. She is a mum to a crazy Australian Kelpie named Harley and an ex-racing thoroughbred horse named Mojo.



Sarah started as work experience 3 years ago at the clinic while working towards her Certificate IV. She graduated in May 2018 and now works as a qualified Nurse in our team. She is passionate, friendly and loves animals, especially dogs. Though the only exception of her furbaby Edmund the Ragdoll. She believes that each animal deserves quality care and that every client deserves the best and a smile!



Lauren has been a qualified vet nurse since 2010 after working in a variety of different clinics over the years she has gained vast and diverse skills and knowledge. Lauren’s warm caring nature and attention to detail makes her the perfect person to ensure your fur baby’s visit is a hassle free experience. Lauren spends her free time chasing after her 2 kids and Cheeky blue heeler Russell.
